AI Rephrasing 2026: Workflow for Marketing Teams

AI tools like Empcora can automatically rephrase greenwashing claims. However, AI is a co-pilot, not an autopilot. Without human review, incorrect substantiation is a risk. Here’s the best-practice workflow.

Step 1: Pre-Check — for EVERY new marketing idea. Before any text is written, the AI should check which terms are problematic. Example: Marketing sends the idea “Sustainable sneaker model” → AI immediately responds “prohibited, alternative formulations: GOTS-certified material, Cradle-to-Cradle Bronze”.

Step 2: Initial AI Rephrasing. The full text is sent through the AI, and every prohibited term receives an alternative. Empcora provides 3 variants: defensive (legally sound), balanced (marketing impact), and marketing-strong (for the creative version).

Step 3: Collect Substantiation. Evidence must be gathered for every new claim. AI can help, but it doesn’t know which certifications the company actually holds. This is where the human review step comes in.

Step 4: Compliance Review by Trained Employee. One person in the company allocates 4-8 hours per month for compliance reviews. AI suggestions are checked: Does the certification match? Is the licence number correct? Does the methodology of the claim align?

Step 5: Marketing Approval. Only after this 4-stage workflow does the text go into production.

Bulk Rephrasing for Existing Content: If more than 100 pages are affected, bulk rephrasing is worthwhile. Empcora can rephrase all RED claims from a scan in a batch. Important: For larger changes, perform workflow step 4 (Review) for each page individually, not just on samples.

Conclusion: AI accelerates EmpCo compliance by a factor of 5-10, but does not replace human review. A well-established workflow with all 4 steps is invaluable.
