Employee Training EmpCo: Workshop Concept
Why every marketing department needs training in 2026: EmpCo compliance only succeeds if all employees – not just compliance officers – know the rules. Marketing, PR, Social Media, Customer Service and Sales must be made aware.
Workshop concept (60 minutes). Block 1 – Fundamentals (15 mins): What is EmpCo? When does it apply? Who is liable? What sanctions are threatened?
Block 2 – The 4 per-se prohibitions (15 mins): Climate neutrality claims, generic environmental terms, own seals, promises for the future. With concrete examples from your own advertising.

Block 5 – Q&A (5 mins).
Target group-specific modules – Marketing team: Pre-approval workflow, adapt content templates, letter to agencies. Social Media: Hashtag audit, influencer contract clauses. Customer Service: Check email templates, live chat responses, FAQ texts. Sales: Update sales decks, verbal statements, trade fair appearances.
Documentation: Every workshop should be documented (participant list, date, content). In the event of a warning letter, proof of training can reduce liability.
