„Plastic-free"

What does it mean?
"Plastic-free" is often used incorrectly — for example when only the packaging is plastic-free, but the product contains microplastics.
Typical phrasings
- 'Plastic-free packaging' (with plastic coating)
- 'Plastic-free' despite PE coating
What you can write instead
'Packaging made from FSC-certified paper without plastic coating — fully recyclable in waste paper'
